Celebrating 25+ years of Nursing Informatics Education
WINI provides an opportunity to have guided discussion and education in a variety of informatics topics including the foundations of nursing informatics practice, the systems life cycle, and Data Management and Health Care Technology.
Weekend Immersion in Nursing Informatics (WINI) is a nursing informatics continuing education course that travels around the country to provide affordable, in-depth nursing informatics education. Approved by the Maryland Nurses Association, an approved provider of nursing continuing education, WINI focuses on basic competencies in nursing informatics. WINI was developed by ICCE, LLC, managing members Carol J. Bickford, PhD, RN-BC, CPHIMS, FHIMSS, FAMIA, FAAN, and Kathleen Smith, MScEd, RN-BC, FHIMSS. Both members are board certified in nursing informatics by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
